NOPD Arrests Suspect on Drug, Gun Possession Charges

The NOPD has arrested Latoya Jackson (DOB: 10-07-1977) for drug and gun possession violations stemming from a traffic stop that occurred on April 20, 2018 near the intersection of Dublin and Apple streets.

At about 5:39 p.m, Second District officers conducted a traffic stop at the location. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Jackson, was detained and arrested. A search of Jackson’s vehicle revealed approximately .7 grams of marijuana, approximately .5 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 18 MDMA pills, approximately 97 hydrocodone pills and a semi-automatic handgun.

Jackson was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for illegal possession of the aforementioned drugs; sale, distribution, or possession of Legend Drugs and illegal carrying of a weapon while in possession of narcotics.
