The NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad and the U.S. Marshals today (August 5, 2021) arrested Mekaill Harris (pictured, black male, DOB: 08-31-1988) in the investigation of a homicide on June 28, 2021 in the 4100 block of Jumonville Street.

The NOPD is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred this evening (August 4, 2021) at the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Stemway Drive.

The NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad and the U.S. Marshals today (August 4, 2021) arrested Darrell Smith (pictured, black male, DOB: 05-30-2002) in the investigation of an armed robbery on July 23, 2021 in the 6100 block of Chatham Drive.

The NOPD today (August 4, 2021) arrested Keldon Castro (pictured, black male, DOB: 01-15-2003) in the investigation of a homicide that occurred on July 15, 2021 in the 2100 block of 2^nd Street.

The NOPD today (August 3, 2021) arrested Markez Jefferson (pictured at top, black male, DOB: 04-29-1999) and Nathan Saavedra (pictured at bottom, white male, DOB: 01-18-2001) in the ongoing investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting on August 1, 2021 at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Orleans Avenue that injured five people.
